**DEADLINE To Request Pig = May 31, 2009**
I recently acquired three dozen priceless ceramic Pickled Pig cork and holder sets. Okay, they're not priceless...in fact they were dirt cheap but they could be priceless one day. Thanks to a great suggestion from douglaslizard, I've decided to give them away to our members for FREE. That's right, FREE. I'll even pay for the shipping.
But there are two catches...
First, you must be a registered member and have a minimum of 5 quality posts in order to get your free Pickled Pig ceramic cork and holder. "Quality posts" are any posts I determine to add value to our community. Basically, they are any posts that are not spam or were not made in an obvious effort to bulk up post count.
If you're not registered on this site yet or don't have 5 posts, don't worry. There is plenty of time to get your pig. I'll update the pig inventory count at the bottom of this message.
Second, you must agree to take and post a picture of your keepsake pig at the location of your choice. You can take the picture anywhere you want...on your kitchen table, on your smoker, at a contest, in your smoker, etc. You must post the picture as a reply to this thread and give the location and setting of the pig (i.e., this picture was taken in a light box in my kitchen in Overland Park, KS). You can take and post multiple pictures at any time during the contest but must commit to at least one. Once your picture and description are posted, your obligation is fulfilled and you can keep your Pig and pass it on to your children and grandchildren.
When all of the pigs have been sent out, I'll define a deadline to get all of the pictures and locations posted. Once the deadline is reached I'll create a voting thread where registered members can vote for their favorite based on their own criteria. Maybe the members will choose the farthest location, maybe they'll choose the best picture, maybe they'll choose the most exotic setting, or maybe they'll vote for their friends. It will be up to the registered members at that point.
After the deadline but before the voting, I will contact anyone who submits multiple entries and have them choose which entry they want to submit for voting purposes. So, if you submit 3 entries you can choose your best one so the other 2 don't dilute your votes.
The member who receives the most votes will win a $50 gift certificate to Amazon.com.
To enter, send me a Private Message (PM) with your name and address and as long as you have at least 5 posts, I'll send you your pig. Even if I've sent you a prize before I will need your name and address again as I don't keep those on file.
How cool is this? A free contest where everyone gets a prize just for agreeing to participate. Let's see where The Pig goes...
