I have been using my Crock Pot to do this, but you can use stove top, just reduce the heat.

1lb Bacon
1 Medium Yellow Onion, slivered
2lbs Ground Venison
2 15.5oz cans Goya Blue Label Black Beans, drained
1 14oz can of Diced Tomatoes (I like to use my Mom's canned Tomatoes)
2 10 oz can of Rotel Chili Fixin's (diced tomatoes with green chilies)
2 packs of Tempo Chili Mix

Cube bacon and render down to almost crisp. Place the Bacon (not the grease) in a Crock Pot. Return pan to stove and saute Onions till soft. Again add the Onions to the Crock, but not grease. Grey the Venison in the remaining Bacon/Onion grease, then put EVERYTHING in the Crock Pot. Add diced & Rotel tomatoes to the crock, and stir to mix. The crock should be set to the low setting at this point. Lastly, add the Chili Mix first, then the black beans and stir to mix. The beans will help spread out the Chili Mix. Cover and leave alone for a minimum 4 hours, I prefer to make it when I get up first thing in the morning, for dinner that night.

I don't think its too spicy, but to calm some of the heat, use sour cream, cheese, corn chips, or a combo of, mixed into the chili. Enjoy!
