    Default PP Pork Injection #3

    1 1/2 C Apple Juice
    1 C Water
    1 C Sugar
    1/4 C Plowboys Yardbird Rub
    1 C Fab P
    1 TSP Cayenne
    1/4 C Apple Cider Vinegar

Combine and mix (shake) the above ingredients in a ZipLoc quart container or mason jar. Top off with apple juice. Makes enough to inject 2 butts.

Is this the injection what you are using this year in contests?

No. We have been using Fab P mixed with a little Plowboys but I'm trying a new injection this weekend.

The addition of Plowboys is a good idea. I'm using butchers pork injection.
Think I'll try this recipe this weekend and let you know how it goes.

    1 1/2 C Peach Necture
    1 C Water
    1 C Butchers Pork Injections
    1/8 cup Plowboys

OK, I adjusted the mixture a bit for this past weekends contest cause we used in in the whole hog and the pork butts. Heres the recipe and results.

    3 C Peach Necture
    3 C Water
    1 C Butchers Pork
    1/4 Plowboys rub
    1/4 C Cider Vinegar

The Whole Hog place 8th. This meat was dry, but not too dry. Didn't have any flavor and I was not impressed with it. It surprised me that it placed.

The Pork Butt placed 37th. I thought this pork was very good and would place higher. Little do I know. Here a pic of the Pork Butt anyway. The presentation will probably look fimilar. ;)

    Pork

7 years and pork has always been my downfall. Any advice would be greatly apreciated.
