Default What brand of ribs are you using???

I was just wondering what other brands some of my fellow pitmasters are using. I have always liked the Smithfield 3 pack from Costco, but I have been thinking of trying some others.

I would like to hear about some other options.

    Thanks!!!

I prefer the IBP'S which i usually get from my local meat market. But I noticed that Super Target has St. Louis style trimmed ribs in 2 packs that are real nice. That are real pretty and trimmed very nice.

    ^^Agreed^^

I just noticed those three-packs of spares at Sam's...can't beat the price. I trim 'em down to St. Louis cut, and use the rib tips in a batch o' beans. :)

I prefer IBP's, they seem to have a greater marbling of fat and ten to trim up real nice, but in a pinch i guess anything that has a good price tag on it.

I get IBP baby backs from Sam's. I still have not got my St. Louis's to the point where I feel they are competition presentable. So for now, I'll keep doing what I do best! And that's baby backs.

Have you gotten them lately? The RD by me said they won't carry them any longer because they don't sell enough. Not sure if that's a regional thing or not. Kind of a bummer as I have a freezer full of trimmings that never seem to get cooked.
