Default Alabama White BBQ Sauce

Is anyone a big fan of Alabama White?

If so, aside from using it as a marinade for poultry or a finishing sauce for seafood, what do you use it for?

Dipped cooked chicken in it. Not my favorite, but I'd do it again.

I like it when it's home made - the bottled stuff is nasty.

I posted THREE different "authentic" recipes on my blog.

I took a cooking class last year with Chris Marks that focused strictly on Chicken. In the class, he used an Alabama White to marinate the pieces in, but when I asked him about using it in competition, he said that he'd never do it. He said that, in the midwest at least, the judges wouldn't know what to do with it.

Apparantly, judges around here aren't known for their creative palates....

I tried the Chris Lilly recipe last week on some thighs. Put me in the "take it or leave it" category.

Put it on chicken after cooking it. It was O.K. Nothing really wrong with it, just not my favorite.
