New KCBS TOY Application

I retired the DIY Rankings application on the site tonight. The vast majority of users were using it to follow the KCBS points chase and all of the variables involved were taxing the rickety old server handling the site.

In it's place I published a new application that approximates the KCBS Team Of the Year standings. You can drill down on any team or contest for detailed information, change the date range being reported, and sort by team, rank, or points.

However, there is a huge amount of number crunching happening on the opening page. Sometimes the server will time-out and the page needs to be refreshed in order to display. I am working on optimizing the queries and crunching but we'll have to limp along until I upgrade the database this winter. Since I'm tracking every result from every team in every contest, the database has grown substantially beyond it's design.
