The Pickled Pig
Though we may occasionally act contrary in manner, we are not always pigs. The Pickled Pig is a competition BBQ team that hails from Overland Park, Kansas.
We enjoy the thrill of the hunt, a swill of good beer, fine whisky or rum and slow-smoked BBQ. Our over-indulgent tendencies may appear to be "Pig-like" but we tend to think that the only good pig is either smoked or Pickled! Given our choices in the matter, we choose the latter.
We operate this site primarily to promote one of our favorite passions - good BBQ. We also want to promote our BBQ team, share team information with our friends and supporters, and interact with fellow BBQ enthusiasts.
Whether you're a fellow competitor, certified judge, BBQ novice, fan of The Pig, or just plain love to eat BBQ, we want you to feel welcome here and encourage your participation. We're not good enough to be secretive, so we'll gladly share everything we know and hope you'll do the same for the good of the sport. Be sure to check out our Online Community forums.
